Does PrettyQuick cost me anything?

No. PrettyQuick is free a service to find and book salon and spa appointments! You do ultimately pay for services booked as you would at the salon or spa. However, instead of paying at the salon or spa, you are charged through PrettyQuick after the appointment.

Are these prices final?

No. All prices quoted are starting prices and are subject to change.

Payment
Am I being charged now?

No. Your credit card will not be charged until AFTER you go to your appointment and receive your service.

When will I be charged?

At the end of your appointment, a salon or spa staff member will check you out through PrettyQuick. Your credit card will be charged for the service price, any pricing adjustments, and automatic 20% gratuity. No swiping a card, no signature required, no cash exchanged! You will be emailed an electronic receipt with service and payment details for your records. In the rare case that the salon or spa only accepts cash tips, we’ll alert you beforehand via email and text message.

Is tip included? How do I tip through PrettyQuick?

For our partner salons and spas who accept credit cards, the salon or spa staff member who checks you out will ask you how much you want to tip. Your desired tip amount will be added to the price of the service and your credit card will be charged accordingly.

Some of our partner salons and spas only accept cash tips. Your booking confirmation email will highlight whether the salon or spa only accepts cash tips. At these merchants, you will have to tip in cash as you would traditionally.

Can I cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you can cancel without penalty within the salon’s cancellation window. If you cancel within the salon’s cancellation window, you will be charged in accordance with the salon’s cancellation policy. You can find the salon’s cancellation policy on the salon’s profile page. All appointments canceled within 5 minutes of booking confirmation will not be charged any cancellation fees.

Is this secure? (Are you for realz?)

Yes. PrettyQuick uses a Stripe, a secure third party payment processor to to store and process all payments. We selected Stripe because they take security very seriously. They meet or exceed the most stringent industry standards. They are a vetted recognized payment processor and are used by many leading respected internet companies.

How do I redeem Credit into my PrettyQuick account?

PrettyQuick awards credit at various events and through partner organizations via promotional codes. Once you are signed into your PrettyQuick account, you can load credit by clicking on “CREDIT” in the upper right hand corner and entering your promotional code. The credit will be applied towards your next booking.

How and where can I use PrettyQuick Credit?

Your PrettyQuick credit will automatically be applied towards future services booked through PrettyQuick.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS
Can I cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you can cancel without penalty up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. If you cancel within two hours of the appointment time, your credit card will be charged 50% of the quoted price. If you do not show up for your appointment, your credit card will be charged 100% of the quoted price.

How do I cancel my appointment?

To cancel an appointment, go to My Appointments to view a list of your current appointments. You can cancel a current appointment by clicking "Cancel" in the upper right hand corner of the appointment box and then clicking through subsequent confirmations.

Real people respond to your requests so after 9 pm and before 10 am we recommend you relax, get some beauty sleep, and let us help you book your perfect appointment when salons and spas reopen. Save your request if you'd like and we'll remind you to resubmit in the morning.

How does PrettyQuick select salon and spa partners?

First, we work with our esteemed beauty editors to hand-pick the best salons and spas neighborhood by neighborhood. Our beauty editors include our Beauty Insider Founder, Coco Meers with help from Erica Levin, Co-founder and Editor in Chief of CheekyChicago, Stacey Roney Founder and Publisher of GlossedandFound.com, and Nicole Pearl, Founder of TheBeautyGirl.com. Together they hand-pick a list of the top salons and spas in Chicago based on personal experiences, industry reputation, and editorial mentions by other publications. Then, the PrettyQuick street team visits each of the suggested partners and meets with management and on-site stylists to assess what makes each of them special and triple check for customer satisfaction and cleanliness. Only vetted merchants are invited to join our network.
